Types of Gothic Jewellery - Necklaces, earrings, velvet chokers, bracelets, rings and brooches.
My range of Gothic jewellery encompasses a wide range of pieces, with each type offering its own unique appeal.
Necklaces are my most popular style, featuring interesting ornate pendants hanging from delicate textured chains. With designs ranging from delicate and dainty (featuring skulls, black roses, bats or celestial charms) to bold and eye-catching cameos, they can be worn on their own for a subtle look or layered to create a dramatic effect.

My cameo earrings are a great way to add a subtle touch of Gothic romanticism to your outfit. They are available as dainty studs or elegant drop earrings. Choose between bronze-finish for a Vintage-look or the silver finish for a more contemporary look. Most of my earrings are made of hypoallergenic silver, which makes them ideal for you if you have metal sensitivities.

No matter your personal style, it's hard to escape the allure of a black velvet choker. They look good on everybody, regardless of age. My velvet chokers are made of a luxurious, soft black velvet ribbon which I hand-cut myself and decorated with interesting, unique dainty cameos. You'll find a wide range of styles to choose from, featuring cameos with exquisite carved roses, eerie skulls, Gothic ravens and witchy cats and bats.

Bracelets offer a more subtle way to incorporate a spooky Gothic touch to your wardrobe. My cameo bracelets are a particular favourite, made with a beautiful sturdy chain and a slider-bead for easy fastening. They're very versatile as they're fully adjustable to a wide range of wrists' widths and the silver-finish styles are hypoallergenic!

Rings are another way to add a subtle touch of darkness to your outfit. My cameo rings are particularly popular, with their Victorian charm and intricate detailing, they're fully adjustable so you can easily switch them from finger to finger.
Brooches are another staple of my gothic jewellery range. Featuring cameos with designs ranging from skulls to florals, octopus krakens, dreamy mermaids, ravens, cats and other spooky things. They can be worn on the lapel of your favourite jacket or to add a touch of Victorian elegance, on the neck of your shirt or blouse.

Materials used in my gothic jewellery
The materials used in my gothic jewellery play a crucial role in capturing its distinctive aesthetic. I use brass/metal-alloys that contain zinc, iron, copper or nickel. They're plated with antique-finish patinas and black highlight detailing which gives my jewellery that Vintage look, as if they were (almost) antique pieces of jewellery.
Bronze-finish is my most popular style, due to its dark and faded golden shade which adds a touch of elegance to my pieces. Its warm shade beautifully complements the ivory/cream colour of the cameos.
Silver is also a popular choice, known for its sleek and timeless appeal. Its cool, metallic sheen complements the dark and mysterious vibe of my gothic jewellery as well as offering a beautiful contrast against black/dark clothes.
Most of my silver-finish pieces are hypoallergenic (made of stainless steel) which makes them ideal for people with metal sensitivities.
My cameos are another integral part of my gothic jewellery, adding depth and character to each piece. They are made of resin (a synthetic material that is highly durable).
In addition to my cameos, my gothic jewellery pieces also incoporate gemstones or glass cabochons. Black onyx, a black gemstone is commonly used for its dark and mysterious allure. Pearls are another natural gemstone you'll find in my designs, with its interesting sublt colour effects and smooth surface perfectly complements my antique-finish jewellery.
How to incorporate gothic jewellery into your everyday wardrobe
Whether you're dressed formally for a special occasion or simply want to add a touch of darkness to your everyday style, there are several ways to incorporate my gothic jewellery into your black wardrobe.
Start by choosing pieces that resonate with you and reflect your personality. Whether you prefer delicate earrings or bold statement necklaces, my gothic jewelry offers a wide range of options to suit every taste and occasion.
Brooches are excellent pieces when you want to add just a subtle touch of darkness to your everyday style. They can be worn on your jacket's lapel, or for a romantic, Victorian look, wear a small cameo brooch on your shirt's neck. When wearing brooches, it's important to let the accessory take center stage and keep the rest of the outfit simple and neutral, allowing the brooch to stand out and make a subtle statement.

For a bold and dramatic look, however, layering is key. Experiment with different lengths and styles of necklaces. You could layer chokers with long rosary-style necklaces or cameo pendants. For a romantic, boho look, try mix and matching necklaces of different textures and sizes, such as sparkly black crystals or different chain-necklaces designs.
Bracelets can also be worn alone or layered to add an extra dimension to your gothic look. Stack multiple bracelets on one wrist, mixing different styles and textures to create a stacked effect.

Remember, gothic jewellery is all about self-expression and embracing your individuality. Don't be afraid to experiment and have fun with your style, creating looks that reflect your own unique personality and taste.
Looking after your gothic jewellery
Proper care and maintenance are essential to ensure that your gothic jewelry stays in pristine condition. Here are a few tips to help you keep your pieces looking their best:
-
Remove your jewellery when washing hands, showering or excercising as moisture and water accelerate the tarnishing of metals.
-
Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals, such as perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products, as they can cause discoloration and damage the finishing of the metals. This is specially crucial for pearls.
-
Clean your gothic jewelley regularly using a soft, dry cloth. Never use alcohol!
-
Store your gothic jewellery in cool, closed containers, away from moisture and direct sunlight to prevent tarnishing and damage.
-
If you gothic jewellery contains gemstones or crystals, take extra care to protect these from scratches and damage. Avoid performing tasks that may cause impact or abrasion.
By following these simple tips, you can ensure that your gothic jewelry remains beautiful and in excellent condition for years to come.
